Enquire ↗Therapeutic training & capacity building
Individualised, trauma-informed therapeutic training for eligible NDIS participants—delivered primarily 1:1 by video and shaped around personal goals, communication and meaningful participation.

A human place to begin
Therapeutic training and capacity building are delivered primarily through individual online sessions. This flexible 1:1 format creates space to learn, practise and adapt skills around the person’s own pace, access needs and everyday life.
The focus is on skills and strategies that can be practised beyond a session—in daily routines, relationships, community participation and decisions.
The Whole Warrior Solutions Framework™ provides structure while remaining flexible. It explores identity and strengths, emotional wellbeing, safety, communication, self-advocacy, problem solving and personal growth.
Where appropriate, individual therapeutic training and skills development may sit within the NDIS Therapeutic Supports registration group and the current Therapy – Other Professional – Direct Service item. The actual support delivered and invoiced must reflect the participant’s disability-related needs, functional goals, stated funding, provider eligibility and agreed service arrangement.
How support may help
Individual goals differ. Therapeutic training and capacity-building sessions may focus on:
Recognise stress responses and practise strategies that support wellbeing, safety and participation.
Build confidence expressing preferences, asking questions and communicating needs in different settings.
Strengthen awareness of respectful relationships, personal boundaries, consent and ways to seek support.
Practise speaking up, weighing options, solving problems and taking part in decisions that affect everyday life.
Is this the right fit?
We consider suitability individually and avoid promising that a particular support will be funded.
Kind words
“Experience, professionalism and collaboration. Tania is a wonderful asset to any participant’s team.”
— Peter Sykes, occupational therapist

Questions about this service
Eligible participants may be able to use stated Therapeutic Supports funding when the individual therapeutic training is disability-related, directed towards functional outcomes and delivered by an eligible provider. The current schedule describes the relevant other-professional item as Therapy – Other Professional – Direct Service. Funding is not guaranteed and must be confirmed before service begins.
No. Therapeutic training and capacity building are assessed and tailored to the participant’s goals, functional needs, learning preferences and agreed outcomes rather than sold as a generic course.
Goals may involve emotional regulation, communication, boundaries, self-advocacy, decision-making, problem solving and everyday participation.
Most therapeutic training and capacity-building sessions are delivered 1:1 by video. This supports flexible, person-centred work in a familiar environment. Other arrangements may be considered according to the person’s goals, access needs, suitability and availability.
